1.4 Introduction to Project Cycle Management (PCM)

Grant application phases are in line with the universally known “Project Cycle Management”, and the grant proposal is considered a project itself.

A project is planned and carried out following a sequence, or “cycles”. It begins with an agreed strategy which leads to a viable idea for a specific action, oriented towards achieving a set of objectives. The project idea is then formulated, assessed, funded, implemented, and audited with a view to improving its strategy and further action.
