✓ Recognise red flags in predatory journal characteristics and practices as falling within the spectrum of predatory behaviours.
✓ Interpret journal websites, emails, names, author guidelines, and publisher partners for signs of ethical or predatory practices.
✓ Identify and describe papermills, guest authorship, ghost authorship, citation manipulation, and citation rings as unethical author-led publication practices.
