3.2 Project Reviews and Audits

Who are these people whom we call “evaluators”?

They are experts from a relevant area of expertise and are designated to thoroughly assess the grant proposal. They can come from technical or non-technical backgrounds: science, academia, engineering, business, consultancy, project management, etc.

When assessing a grant proposal, the evaluators have a set of high expectations you should strongly consider beforehand. If they truly believe in the proposal, they will acknowledge its strengths and virtues. Otherwise, they will focus on its pitfalls, which are likely to get your proposal rejected.
