Thrive in an AI-Enhanced Professional Environment offers a comprehensive exploration of how AI is reshaping the modern workplace and provides strategies to stay ahead in this evolving landscape. Through hands-on activities, this course enhances your AI knowledge and skills, emphasises the crucial role of human oversight and ethical considerations in AI implementation, and guides you in creating actionable plans for continuous learning and professional growth. By the end, you'll be equipped to successfully navigate and excel in an AI-driven career.

This course consists of the following three modules:

1. AI Foundations and Evolution

2. Advancing AI Literacy

3. Skills for an AI-Enhanced World

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Dr. Leo S. Lo

Dr. Leo S. Lo is currently the Dean of the College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico. With an educational background that includes a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania and graduate degrees in Survey Research, Library & Information Studies, and Screenwriting, Dr. Lo brings a diverse and comprehensive skill set to his role.

A key area of focus for Dr. Lo is integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into library services and academic support, aligning with the evolving landscape of library sciences and education technology. He actively engages in research and discussions around AI, aiming to enhance AI literacy and its ethical application in academia. Dr. Lo's work in this domain is characterised by a balance of strategic leadership and a hands-on approach to the challenges and opportunities presented by AI in educational settings.
 

Professional AI Use in Higher Education is a three-course programme that supports professionals as they navigate becoming effective AI collaborators. From learning basic definitions of AI to creating goals to become the AI subject matter expert in the office, this programme supports professionals in university settings and beyond in:

• understanding and increasing AI literacy,

• incorporating AI into daily tasks,

• recognising the impact of AI at the organisational and societal levels,

• developing ethical standards for AI use,

• and creating plans to continue AI learning.
